Role: Interior Designer

Who You Are:

You are comfortable wearing multiple hats in a small business with an entrepreneurial culture.  You have strong design skills and are looking to apply your experience to collaborate to create award-winning interior spaces. You are highly organized, and have curiosity, drive, and an eagerness to learn.

As an Interior Designer, you will:

·         Along with design/ project management leader and technical designer, deliver projects from start to finish, including programming and visioning, development of design concepts, two- and three-dimensional design, finish selection and specification, document production, and construction administration. Interact with MEPFP engineers and other consultants and vendors to coordinate full drawing set and all details, leading to successful project completion.

·         Develop material palettes and furniture selections with the oversight of a design leader.

·         Take an active role in design presentations and charettes.

·         Produce and coordinate construction documents for architectural interiors projects.

·         Develop furniture specifications and coordinate with furniture dealers.

·         Attend site visits and take an active role in construction administration.

·         Attend industry events.

·         Assist with other special projects, as needed and assigned.

 

Job Specifications:

·         Professional degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field, from an accredited program.

·         4-6 years of relevant experience.

·         Strong knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Sketchup, Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word), and Adobe InDesign.

·         Strong visualization skills.

·         Knowledge of commercial grade finishes and furniture.

·         Knowledge of construction documentation and architectural conventions related to commercial interior design.

·         Knowledge of construction administration.

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·         Ability to work independently and under own direction and initiative.

·         Ability to work 40 hours per week, during normal business hours.

·         Ability to take direction.

·         Ability to handle ambiguity.

Employee must occasionally lift samples and other materials, up to twenty (20) pounds.

 

Work Environment:

Typical indoor open office environment. The office is currently used at moderate capacity. While we do offer flexible working arrangements, this is not a remote position.
